I found out it’s been nearly 2 years since the construction began on 35th Ave S to the left with trees and pileups removed from the area and began to build new houses (which was finished), along with the new road and the sidewalk. They are also going to install drains and fire hydrants, which was ongoing and I don’t know when they are going to completely finish this entire project before 2025 since in Washington there is a lot of projects going on since 2000s-present.
What do you want added to the map?
In progress - construction is not yet finished, but we still have to keep track of this project until it has been completed and finalized in order to be added to the map. Until then, nothing is added to the map for now, unless the project is done beforehand.
Maybe someone more familiar with Seattle can figure out where that is, but I’m not able to find it.
In this case, you have to find the location “35th Ave S” in the destination search bar on Waze live map, and make sure to use Google Maps and search “35th Ave S” in the search bar to confirm that’s the right place. (There is a 360 degree view on Google Maps to ensure the current location is correctly addressed.)
Got a cross street? There’s lots of little segments named 35th Ave S in Seattle.
So, as you can see in the picture above (taken on August 3, 2024), the new road and the sidewalk (surrounds the new road in a circle on the right) is finished, along with the drains installed. The fire hydrants are now installed (in progress), and some areas are filled up with either dirt or rock, while the rest has not yet been completed, depends on the construction project. Two new houses are being constructed and built, and one house that is surrounded by the trees (which is the end of the new road to the right).
That wasn’t the question. We don’t know where this intersection that you took the picture at.
Also, what exactly do you want Waze to do?
There is an intersection on 35th Avenue South and South Spencer Street. I want Waze to mark the 35th Ave S road (which has two new houses are 6113 and 6115 on the right), as described in the picture, labeling “under construction” in the selected area.
I’ve added 6113 address to the street. 6115 was already in our system.
It will take a few days to make it to the app but when it does you’ll need to perform a new search for the addresses. Ignore any results that have a clock symbol as they are old search results (if you have any).

Is this the correct spot? Are you looking for an alert that there’s traffic or something that affects routing?
Construction alerts are typically added by partners like SDOT. As editors, we don’t usually add alerts on a short, dead end road like this.
6113 35th Ave S is now added to the map and confirmed. It is now updated and the search for the newer address is completed across Waze. Bear in mind that we still have to keep track of the construction on the road as described above.
As long as a) the road segment is completely mapped in Waze and b) any new addresses have been added there’s nothing left to ‘keep track of’.
Several times you’ve mentioned landscaping, fire hydrants, pavement, etc … none of those things are mapped in Waze.
