New Editor version v2.255

Hi Everyone

We hope you’re all doing well.

We’ve just released a new version of WME v2.255.

Below you can find a summary of the release.

Known issues:

  • Compact mode: Road details: Selected chip looks pale while hovering in compact mode.
  • Venues: The last category under the venue could be deleted, but the save stack is empty. When you reselect the venue, the category is still there.
  • “Not approved” label in the menu of segment suggestion is shifted

New features/enhancements

  • As part of our performance efforts, we’ve identified and addressed a performance issue that caused significant slowdowns in Safari after saving edits. This improvement should be noticeable in the latest version.
  • Unify action area: Implement compact mode in menu items! To enable it, go to Settings → Advanced Preferences → Enable “Compact mode” toggler .

Please note that we are aware of the issues with the diagonal transition (for example, when moving from hazards>cameras>safe distance cameras) and working on it with the highest priority.

Bug Fixes

We released 6 bug fixes:

  1. Translations // User is getting USA TTS form upon clicking the “Report a problem” link in WME - fixed
  2. Segments stay highlighted on the map when deselecting the node - fixed
  3. Error when selecting editSuggestion from the changes log popup - fixed
  4. PH// Camera Types// Missing a selected state - fixed
  5. Issue Tracker // ‘Specific location’ filter is not filled while switching the env - fixed
  6. Saved search // encode ENV and switch accordingly when opening permalink for saved search - fixed
  7. Saved search: ‘All issues’ should be marked as default in case custom default search is deleted. - this issue is not prioritized currently and will not be fixed at the moment

We look forward to hearing your feedback!

When hovering your mouse over random segments, they show red as if there is an active closure on it. Here is a screen capture showing it happen with segments that have no active closures:

Hi. The WME user page has had a small bug for a long time, and it would be nice if you could fix it as well. Almost all languages show an error in this form.

RPPs are showing as circles in the latest WME, although they turn back to triangles when you hover over them. Is this intended? I like seeing them as a different shape so that I know whether a building has a PP, RPP, or both at a quick glance.

Do you use WMEPH script?

With all scripts disabled I’m seeing RPPs represent as circles, except when they are hovered over with the cursor, just as @JustADrvr indicated.

It is native. This happens at Zoom 17. At Zoom 18 they display as triangles.

Hi, it’s great to see that you continue to make improvements to the editor. (topic id: 71947) Please pay attention to this problem as soon as possible next time. I’m surprised that the issue hasn’t been resolved for 3 YEARS :exploding_head:.

Feedback: The right side icons in compact mode are too small.

for some reason (idk if it is just me) but the rpp/point places icons seem larger than usual?

I suggest providing the link rather than the topic ID. It makes it easier for others to find what you’re talking about. You should also include which issue it is. In this case, it’s the invalid service error most recently caused by adding parking lot services to non-parking lot places.

If you’re unfamiliar with Discuss, it’s quite easy to add links to posts. Copy the link. Select the text you want to hyperlink, and paste. That’s how I added the link in my first sentence.

I would also recommend not telling staff how to do their job.

Thanks, I know what you mean, I just forgot about it last time. I normally use it. Now that you’ve mentioned it, I don’t feel the need to specify it again. Thanks, I know what you mean, I just forgot about it last time. I normally use it. Hi Max_Booster,
Thanks for your patience regarding the issue. We understand your frustration that it hasn’t been resolved yet.
Unfortunately, this issue is currently blocked by another that we’re working on resolving. As soon as the blocking issue is addressed, we’ll be able to focus on fixing this one.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding

I was already searching unsuccessfully on uservoice

I don’t know if anyone else sees this.

For the past 3 nights, around 21:30 US Pacific Time (around 07:30 IL time), the satellite view is very boxy - certain parts of it do not load, and as you zoom in/out, different parts do not load. This is on the NA server.

This happens with and without scripts. Additional imagery loads completely.

The problem goes away by the next morning, so I don’t know how long it lasts for.
