We’ve just released a new version of WME prod, v2.239.
Below you can find a summary of the release.
Known issues:
Compact mode: Road details: Selected chip looks pale while hovering in compact mode.
Issue Tracker: clicking comment number buttons does not always light them up blue (selecting them).
Venues: The last category under the venue could be deleted, but the save stack is empty. When you re-select the venue, category is still there.
Remove my own suggestion: The status of the suggestion may temporarily display as “Awaiting Removal” after clicking the “Save” button. This can be resolved by refreshing the page.
Unify Suggestion Filters: Add “Closed” prefix to closed status chip New features/enhancements:
Saved Searches are now live in the Issue Tracker! This is your one-stop shop for customizing, saving, and reusing your favorite issue filters.
Multiple Lanes on roundabouts: now live in production. You can now add lane guidance to roundabouts by adding a JB and define lanes where needed.
Adding Google Maps UGCs as map suggestions: We are excited to announce that starting today we will generate map suggestions WME based on Google Maps user generated proposals.

Thanks for adding RA LG into the prod WME. I’m a L2 and it was hard to see if it was added or not and then working out if it was correct with a higher up. This will make it so much easier now.
With a Long Name for a saved layer, is it possible to show an ellipsis (like the header shows) when scrolling down the list rather than making it take two lines, it makes it hard to select the next one on the list as the line above resizes as you hover over and leave.
Here, as I scroll down the line, when I reach my saved entry of London it turns into two lines, as I move down to Wales, this then moves back up one line, so I am having to go down then back up to accomodate the changing layout.
What are Google Maps UGCs :?: Will we now be able to intervene in Google Maps via Waze? Or will we now only be able to examine suggestions made for a place or a road on Google? I need more information about this subject. Because I sometimes make edits to Google Maps :?

Users of Google Maps can submit map suggestions to Google.
Some of those suggestions are now submitted as well in the WME. If accepted, Waze map will be updated.
This complement the Koifish project, presenting in WME map suggestions about segments present in Maps but absent in Waze.
If you want to “edit” Google Maps, you will continue doing that, as Today, via suggestions in Maps.
There seems to be a new issue with the Places layer - some places or some types of places are not always displayed.
Please see the attached video (Google Drive link provided). The video shows the effect of turning on or off the Parking lots sublayer, but originally the problem appeared after adding the new big area place with category Shopping and services.
Please advise if you need more tests from me. Tampermonkey was off, the browser is latest MS Edge.
Additionally and not related, with the new version, the WME Fix UI ME breaks the div layout of the Save button and the wz-user-box with the user-image. No selections concerning this part of the interface are active. I am aware scripts should be discussed separately, but the info might be helpful.

This may be a known issue and not related to the most recent version release, but I thought I should mention it here anyway, just in case.
While working a PUR this morning I was not able to save because the reporter had selected a service of ‘Accessible Parking’ and that service was not available in WME. I had to reject the PUR and then make the other changes to the place myself.
WME is pretty much unusable for me now with this release. WME takes minutes to respond to any map move, zoom in or out, interact with the left panel, etc. Yes, this is with scripts active because that’s how 99% of all editors edit.
I’ve already given up on trying to edit today and it’s just now Noon for me.
I’m sorry you’re having such an unpleasant experience with WME. I’d genuinely like to assist with the issue. Could you please record a short video demonstrating the slowness and provide details about the browser and device you’re using?

New issue with WME today (no scripts running). I went to look back at a new school being constructed down the road and noticed all of my comments were gone. I’m like, WTH? So, I added the comment again for the new place with my notes again. I was curious to troubleshoot the problem further. I got the PL of the comment and then went to that directly. Lo, and behold, I have three overlapping MCs that all were mine. I then went to refresh the browser by going to the base URL again for WME and how they’ve vanished. Go back on page and MC is back.
