New Editor version 2.206

Same, I always have the Editable area layer off and the problem persists for me.

Hi,

Far shot: I can imagine that some / several of the issues here discusses are caused by performance issues.
The server isn’t responding in time to complete requests from the WME.
The WME is using lots of memory. Just checking: current Chrome memory usage: 2,7 GB.

The introduction of the issue tracker was for me the introduction of issues with places not being displayed.
Every new addition of functionality in the WME makes the processing a bit slower, uses more memory, needs more database access.

I currently get the “best” editing experience with almost all layers disabled and the issue tracker as much as possible turned off (only open MP’s in current map area) and closing down Chrome completely each 15 / 30 minutes to free the accumulated internal memory usage.

Best regards,
Dirk

Hi Everyone,

I need your assistance: the fix for the issue with disappearing editing layers has been released to WME beta.

Could those of you with access to WME beta please recheck the behaviour on your end?

Link to the post: here (access available only for WME beta editors).

We plan to release the hotfix to production today and would appreciate confirmation of the fix beforehand.

Thanks in advance!
Nataliia

I haven’t been able to get the issue to happen in v2.206-20. Thank you for getting this resolved!

Hello

Don’t know if this was already reported: on restriction menu, when I try to select the range date, the select button is not available, but if I click on the text, then I can select it (all scripts disabled) - see GIF

Hi Linguasaltitante,

Could you please send a link to the location, where you try to add restrictions? I test in random locations, I can click the range button.

Thank you in advance,
Nataliia

Hello @Nataliia_Staff

It happens with any random segment (you can try this one for instance).

In the end, I can apply the restriction, but the strange thing is that as you can see on GIF the button itself appears disabled when I hoover the mouse on top of it! If I hoover it on text, then I can click and apply the restriction.

I’m using EDGE without scripts.

Best regards

I can duplicate this on Chrome as well.

If you hover over the dot for the date range, you will notice the mouse changes to a “no entry” symbolRestrictions 4.png

You should be able to click the dot.

I see the same behavior.

Hi Linguasaltitante,
Hi John,
Hi Jushag,

Thank you, I managed to reproduce the issue and filed an internal issue for this problem.

Nataliia

Hello

On the working/opening hours of a place, there is what I would call a strange line on top of letters.
(Edge without scripts)

Hi Linguasaltitante,

Thank you for the report. Could you please give information about you PC / laptop? I checked in Edge on my side and can’t replicate the issue.

Regards,
Nataliia

Hello @Nataliia_Staff

I think that is not something related with my pc. This happens on both of my laptops (one ASUS and one HP). On both of them, I’m using the most recent prod version of WIN11 with most recent prod version of EDGE and FIREFOX.

Also, this issues seems to happen on both EDGE and FIREFOX (without scripts) - See GIF (when you see pt_PT language I’m using EDGE, when you see EN language I’m using FIREFOX).

Best regards

Hi Linguasaltitante,

Thank you for the video file. I managed to reproduce the issue and will file an internal issue for this.

Great update - very thorough, thanks!

Hello,

I am reporting an issue I located regarding the issue tracker. I am only showing North Carolina, USA in the issue tracker and using additional script (UR-MP) filtering PURs to North Carolina only. When data is pulled from both at the same time the Script (UR-MP) pulls data but the issue tracker showed there were none. I was able to confirm missing PURs without the script as well.

/Issue Tracker (No scripts with pending PUR shown) (unavailable attachment: Screenshot 2024-02-21 171811.png)

Hi Elijahpruitt,

Thank you for the report. Could you please tell if you can see URs / PURs around you, when all scripts are disabled?

Nataliia
