Hi all, saya ingin mengusulkan dan menindaklanjuti program Map Raid. Map Raid is basically an editing session event which we would gather several experience editors to work together on certain areas for a limited time (approx. 30 days). They might not be native to the areas, but their works should be more than good enough to complete the map. We would ask Waze HQ to give them special right to edit the decided area, so the procedure would be like the AM application where you submit an area permalink. I think the criteria for this Map Raid are:

  1. Min. 5 or more experienced editors (level 3 and above)
  2. Min. 3 or more local editors.
  3. Min. 1 Champs
  4. Good and reliable source of map
  5. Works to be done would be,
    i. fixing and adding street and landmarks
    ii. fixing and adding names and cities
    iii. Clear off all MP and UR

Kita mau sporadis atau sistematik (start dari P. Sumatra, P. Kalimantan, P. Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara, Kep Maluku dan Irian, baru terakhir Jawa)? Saya sih pilih sporadis, lebih fun :smiley:

Lebih baik yang mo ikut difilter dulu kualifikasinya. Banyak editors masuk ke L3 dengan membuat red segments seabrek-abrek. Sisanya OK.

Soal daerah, kalo rencananya dari Sumatra, kenapa tidak dari Aceh dulu? Banyak daerah Aceh yang masih kosong melompong, he…he…he…

Setuju tentang harus rekrut editor yang hasil kerjanya baik. Saya berpikir mulai dari yg peserta di group Whatsapp dahulu. Tapi anggota Map Raid harus bergantian. Jadi proses pemilihan anggota, lebih baik ditentukan oleh Champs aja tapi tetap buat pengumuman di forum untuk rekrut local usernya.

Alasan dasar mengusulkan daerah/kota yg disebut terdahulu adalah karena memang ada wazernya. Bukan kayak di Sorong atau Manokwari yg memang masih kosong petanya, tapi begitu juga penggunanya. Istilahnya cari kota yang sudah setengah terbentuk, kita boost proses mappingnya. Harapan saya, jika daerah2 bisa lengkap kayak Jakarta, saya yakin akan terjadi viral communication yang dahsyat dari Wazer ke teman-temannya. Bagaimana? Thx
