The closure on the Wohler Rd bridge expired on June 15 at 11:59 pm.
I just tried a route and Waze routed me over the bridge.
That is what I saw as well. However, it is still showing up on Google Maps…I thought Waze was owned by Google and it should have updated there as well.
Sonoma County Public Infrastructure (formerly TPW) is the authoritative map editors for this area, but all of our users in the department are showing level 1. Can someone please assist with this as well?
Unfortunately, the databases are separate and different groups of people manage the 2 applications.
All I can do is submit a data problem request after clicking on the segment in Google Maps. I recommend you do the same.
With regards to getting the logins for Sonoma County Public Infrastructure, I recommend you look at the Waze for Cities partner program.
Do you have a contact for google maps to fix this problem? Since, the road closure is open we want to be able to reflect that.
We are partnered with the Waze for cities partner program, but it just started recently showing us as road closure editor 1’s…can you please assist with that?
You obviously have the partner flag on your account. I did as @abc1357 suggested to report it as open.
I also reached out to a contact to help get it removed from Google Maps.
Like turbomkt, I had also reached out to a contact after submitted a map change request in Google Maps.
I got an email that the closure removal request was accepted.
I just looked on Google Maps and the closure was indeed removed.

That’s the way it works. Even though you are only level 1, you have real time closure permissions for an area (polygon) determined when you came on as a partner.
By the way, the Sonoma County Road Closure webpage still shows that the Wohler Rd bridge is closed 24/7.
Also, are Vacation Beach Crossing and Asti Summer Bridge closed or open?
Thanks for pointing that out and for all your help once again. Wohler Bridge was opened on our site and so was vacation beach crossing. Asti is still closed at the moment
