Any chance that us, wazers, can pull in something with MMDA or the LGU to alleviate the situation along C5 extension>Kaingin Rd Southbound?
It’s a pain to drive along that 500 meter stretch in 30 minutes- starting at C5 extension and ending at the intersection of Multinational Avenue - that’s an average of 1KPH,- because drivers would not be queueing but taking the 2nd and 3rd lanes of C5 ext and would even take the opposite lane (4th).
And then all 4 lanes merge into a single lane further complicated by the bad condition of Kaingin Rd, motorcycles and residents in the area. It’s virtually free-for-all driving there…
If the traffic authorities could block the C5 extension road [approaching Kaingin Rd],- from 3 lanes to 2 lanes, and eventually to a single lane,- then those who are consciously queueing will not be taken advantage by the aggressive; no-concern whatsoever drivers…
Could they just block the intersection of Kaingin Rd and Multinational Avenue and make this a big rotonda? There is a break in the center island near the FlyingV gasoline station where a vehicle going north can make a u-turn and go straight (to go south) or turn right towards Sucat Avenue… There is another break in the island near the Forwarders(don’t let their vehicles park along C5!!!) where a vehicle going south can make a u-turn and go straight(to go north) or turn right to Multinational Village
Anyway, C5 Extension south is a 3-4 lane road one-way so that those who are in C5 Extension have a steady flow of traffic all the time… Just station a couple of traffic enforcer , one each on the u-turns, once there is an overflow of traffic going into the single-lane of Kaingin Rd or the vehicles making the u-turns starts piling up
Where are the bright minds who should be managing this disastrous traffic conditions?
