Should defibrillator locations be mapped in waze?
This UR asks:
If I search for a defibrillator near here WAZE does not show any the public access defibrillator sites nearby! It shows some but they are too far away. https://www.defibfinder.uk/ does show there are 10 nearby!! Google maps don’t show these either. Please add these to a search “defibrillator near me” help save lives. Thank you
We’ve been discussing this UR in Discord. In my opinion no. The last thing you want to ever doing in an emergency situation is bring up a navigation app. It’s the dedicated apps (like AED map) they should be using, and they then may open up a navigation app using coordinates.
If they want to make a suggestion they can ask for a category to be added on Waze UserVoice.
It needs to be pointed out to them that Map Error reports dont reach Waze developers.
