Waze Forum 2.0 is coming your way...

As announced this year at many community meetups, we are very excited to share that, in the coming months, the Waze Community Forum will be moving to a shiny new home and get a super Wazey facelift! Follow this board to get updates and info on the transition.

Looking forward to seeing Waze come out of the PHPBB era and into the more modern world of forum software. Happy to help with beta tests should you decide to open it up to general users :)

Must admit though I'm a little apprehensive about the use of Lithium software. I've only ever known of Spotify's community forums using it (out of forums I make use of that is) and that was always horrendously slow with huge amounts of open space. But I do understand that could just be down to their setup.

One thing I would suggest if it isn't too late, please consider fluid designs as much as possible. There's nothing more frustrating visually (to me at least) than a website that has 6 inches of white space either side of the "main" content. (And again yes I know not everyone has a big monitor so it will vary per user)

Anyway good luck with the migration, I look forward to seeing the results :)

Next month we will be opening a beta version of the new forum. First to current forum admins, then we will invite Global Champs and Beta Leaders to have a look around and share their thoughts, get a sense of the new platform, and let us know if they spot any issues. Once we open the first round, we may open the beta period to other interested parties - depending on timing and capacity. If you’re interested in joining, subscribe to this post and we’ll update here.

Why not also involve the Local Champs?

Yes, why not

New forum will be already mobile friendly and there is no need for a separate app. As a direct response to your question, there is no Tapatalk support in current versions of Lithium.

Fantastic. I have been so excited about this. I'll definitely volunteer to work with the Beta effort.
