EV charging: Import Plugshare-data?

Postby vidarbre » Tue Jan 08, 2019 8:07 am

Hi, I drive an EV, and the app is not designed well for EVs. In map editor its possible to put in Charge point, but very few are there, and its not possible to choose Charger, like a gas station.
There are apps/systems that is up and running, like Plugshare.

Is it possible to import Plugshare data over into the Waze map?

And is it possible to rename "gas stations" to "Energy Stations"? And we can add types of charge plugs as types of fuel, and add pricing as well?

Hello vidarbre,

Certainly you have some good thoughts there that could have some possibility. The best way to submit your ideas is to start in the Waze App Feature Requests forum here - https://www.waze.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=657 . Some thoughts of note, Waze developers typically don't read through these forums. This is more for discussing thoughts on how Waze works and also resolving editing questions. In the Feature Requests part of the forum at the top there is a Guidelines on How to request and search for new features listed here - https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59223 ... estion-box . This is probably the best place to submit your ideas that is sent to staff but first search to see if others have had the same suggestions. There you can vote up any idea you feel would be helpful to have in the app. I hope this information is helpful to you.
