Diepoldsau, St. Gallen Bitte um Unlock

I am aware of the Staff Regulations regarding motorway exits. I’m not too happy with this recommendation anyway, because you should actually start the exit where the deceleration lane begins, in order to enter the actual exit bend at a reasonable speed. If you were to take the instruction ‘Take the exit now’ literally, it would always be too late or too dangerous.
In cases where the Federal Roads Authority has removed the emergency lanes and turned them into extended exits because there are often long tailbacks (in this case due to the national border), it is very dangerous if a driver realises too late that he should have used the ‘emergency lane’ to take the exit.
The driver will then slow down or even stop in the normal right-hand lane in order to squeeze into the traffic jam at the exit. As a minimal compromise, WAZE should also show 3 lanes from the point where the 3rd lane begins. This point is almost 700 metres before the exit.
Please be sure to discuss this very risky situation with those responsible. I hope we can find a good solution in the interest of road safety.
